It Was a Week

Leah's week started with a hospital visit and stitches, as mentioned, with her roommate helping her through the ordeal. Paige was thoughtful and found a way from Italy to send flowers, food, and medical supplies to Leah.

Then Leah's week progressed a few days later to passing out very publicly in her class. Someone ran to a nearby building for a wheelchair, then rolled her through hallways to a bed where she threw up. Someone drove her home, and someone stayed with her and put in a movie to watch together. She wasn't sick, just having a rough day of pain and, like me, that makes her pass out.

But her week ended better with Colby driving her to the train the next day and my mom picking her up from the station to stay for the weekend. My mom also drove Leah to a wedding reception, where Leah took a picture and visited with my bestie Debbie and another friend from home.

I hope Leah's next week is calmer. Thanks to all the people who got her through this week. It was a group effort.
