One Week

Paige made her delicious carrot cake.

Leah made chocolate truffles and our favorite PBO cookies.

The girls made candles. Paige found this artistic item in a thrift store, filled it with scented wax, and turned it into a pretty candle holder. We packed it carefully and she's taking it back to her European apartment.

Leah made a pretty tin candle and is still adding more colorful layers to the glass one.

The girls watched old home movies and got sentimental.

We watched movies, played games, ate at Chili’s, went to the mall, shopped some outlet stores, cooked together, took walks, thrifted, ate DQ Blizzards, and hung out. We called Colby and visited. We all went to church and a potluck, visited with friends, and were the last to leave. This week Carson started track practice every day and still goes to soccer practice 3 nights each week, so unfortunately he wasn't around much. Leah and Paige visited friends. One day I got called in to work as a librarian at the last moment, as I’m the only sub they use for the school libraries. On Friday I let Carson leave halfway through school to come home and watch a movie with Paige while Leah came with me to a friend’s house and helped put together 250 sandwiches for a funeral luncheon. We all tagged along with Carson on one of his soccer nights because we missed him and wanted to visit more on the drive (it's 40 minutes away), and we shopped while he practiced. And finally, on our last night together we went bowling.
